Cordipure™Pharmaceutical-grade Cordyceps sinensis, produced by controlled submerged fermentation.
One of the few fermentation strains developed from verified Ophiocordyceps sinensis. A standardized, traceable and sustainable supply of the world's most valued medicinal fungus, engineered for consistency batch after batch.
A single, standardized ingredient, built for formulators.
Cultivated biomass with controlled active-compound levels, suited to nutraceutical and functional-food applications. Full specification and sampling on request.
Cordipure™ biomass
Dried mycelial powder from strain CS1197, produced under controlled fermentation to defined, repeatable active-compound profiles.

Cordycepin is present in the biomass today. Isolated, concentrated extract streams are on our development roadmap.
On roadmapWhy submerged fermentation wins on consistency.
Wild caterpillar fungus is scarce, variable and ecologically strained. Controlled liquid fermentation is the only route to a bio-identical, standardized supply at scale.
| Method | Consistency | Scalability | Supply |
|---|---|---|---|
| Wild harvest | None | None | Declining |
| Solid-state | Limited | Moderate | Moderate |
| Submerged | Excellent | High | Reliable |
Liquid fermentation allows precise control of pH, aeration and agitation — and avoids the grain-matter dilution common to solid-state mycelium.

CS1197: an indigenous strain, optimized by design.
Cordipure™ is produced from CS1197, a Cordyceps sinensis strain isolated in India and developed for submerged cultivation. Process parameters were established by statistical design of experiments rather than trial and error.
Isolation
Strain CS1197 isolated from larvae collected in India, then verified and maintained as a master culture.
Seed culture
Grown on potato dextrose agar for seven days before transfer to liquid medium.
Submerged cultivation
Liquid fermentation under controlled pH, temperature and aeration, monitored to setpoint throughout.
- Temperature28°C
- pH7.0
- Inoculum volume10%
- Harvest point14 days
Parameters were mapped using a three-level Box–Behnken response surface design across temperature, pH and inoculum volume, then resolved with a desirability function to balance competing outputs.
- Biomass4.53 g/L
- Adenosine745 µg/g
- Cordycepin714 µg/g
- Antioxidant activityDPPH & ABTS scavenging
Biomass and bioactives respond to opposite conditions: physical yield favours higher temperature and pH, while the nucleosides favour colder, lower-pH conditions. The parameters shown represent the balanced optimum rather than either extreme.
Timing is critical. Biomass continues to accumulate for several weeks, but adenosine and cordycepin peak sharply at 14 days and decline thereafter. Harvest is set to the metabolite peak, not to maximum weight.
Licensed from DRDO — defence-grade science at the origin.
Our cultivation technology is licensed from DRDO, India's national defence research organisation — a foundation of aseptic, residue-free, pharmaceutical-grade production.
-
Aseptic in-vitro cultivation
Production without pesticide residues, engineered for medicinal-grade purity.
-
Standardized & traceable
Every batch is designed to defined specifications, not variable wild material.
-
Sustainable by design
A cultivated alternative that relieves pressure on an endangered natural resource.

Government of India.
A licence from DRDO is the strongest independent validation of a cultivation process available in India. Reference to DRDO denotes the origin of the licensed technology and does not imply product endorsement.
Controlled at every step, verified in the lab.
Fermentation variables are monitored throughout, and actives are quantified analytically against the CS1197 reference profile to hold batch-to-batch consistency.
Inoculation
Verified master culture introduced to a sterile liquid medium.
Fermentation
pH, dissolved oxygen and agitation held to setpoint throughout the cycle.
Harvest & drying
Biomass separated and dried to a stable, defined-moisture powder.
Assay & release
Actives quantified by HPLC / LC–MS against specification before release.
